Lima - December 25, 2022 at age 83. He is survived by his loving wife of 25, years, Gail (Magee) Carter; children, David (Donna) Carter, John Carter, Alan Carter (Jodi Hudsdon), Kenneth Carter, Michael Carter, Jody (Bob) Tyson; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Walter and Bertha Carter; grandson, Joseph Carter; brothers, John "Jack" Carter, Raymond Carter; sister Gloria Lloyd.
Ken was a retired Sergeant corrections officer and retired after 27 years. He was a member of the Lima Gun Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also served as a fire policeman for the Lima Fire Depatrment.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday 2 - 4 PM at the O'Connell - Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave., Lima. Private interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lima Fire Department PO Box 29A Lima, NY 14485 in his memory.
