Rev. Christopher Andrew Zeigler
Lima - Our beloved friend, entered into God’s Kingdom on May 3, 2022, at age 36, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Cheryl (Margensey) Zeigler; children, Melia, Declan, Adalee Zeigler; parents, Randy and Kate Zeigler; brothers, Brian (Shelby) and Robert (Elizabeth) Zeigler; grandparents, Robert and Virginia Zeigler and Martha Henkel. He was deeply loved and respected by many friends and will be greatly missed. Predeceased by his grandfather, George Henkel.
Chris was born to Randy and Kate Zeigler in Oswego, NY. He gave his life to Jesus at age three and never looked back. He attended Oswego High School and graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in broadcasting and communications. Chris and Cheryl were married in September of 2007. Chris always said that his three favorite gifts from God were Melia, Declan, and Adalee, his children. He was a loving, involved dad and an adoring, devoted husband.
Chris served with BASIC College ministries from 2009 until the present. He had a heart for revival, worship, and God’s presence. He was an excellent communicator, a kind leader, and an exceptional friend. Chris was a committed and passionate member of Elim Life Church, in Lima, NY. He loved Jesus deeply and shared Him with as many people as possible.
Family and friends are invited to call Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2 – 3 PM at Elim Life Church 1679 Dalton Road, Lima where a celebration of his life service will be held following calling hours at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Zeigler Memorial Fund c/o BASIC College Ministries’ 1703 Dalton Road Lima, NY 14485. (tinyurl.com/ZeiglerMemorialFund). Family and friends are invited to stay after the service for a time of food and fellowship.
