LIMA - March 2, 2021 at age 82. He is survived by his children, Michael (Eileen), Keith Oklevitch, Linda (Kevin) Stone, John Jr. Oklevitch; brother, Wayne Furman; sisters, Joanne Martin, Sue (Clyde) North; grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Austin, Karen (Tom), Kevin Jr. (Lindsay), Kyler (Sarah), Kaylin; great grandchildren, Olivia, Benjamin, Amelia; companion, Joan Crawford; several nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Louise Oklevitch. He was a Marine Corp. Veteran.
Family and friends are invited to call Monday 2-4, 7-9 pm at the O’Connell-Dougherty Funeral Home 2041 Lake Ave., Lima. Following a private family service his graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 pm at St. Rose Cemetery, Lima. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Golsiano Children’s Hospital, c/o Alumni and Advancement Center, 300 East River Road, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
