AVON - May 16, 2020 at age 98. Ruth is survived by her children, Katherine (Gregory) Howe, Augustus Miller, Raymond Miller; grandchildren, Gretchen (Jacek) Micheaux, Michael (Erin) Heuer, Andrew (Maryanne) Howe, Derek Miller, Ean Miller; great grandchildren, Morgan and Ryan Bailey, Mason and Shilo Heuer, Haleigh Miller; Nancy Heuer’s companion, Greg Kane; several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, George J. Miller; daughter Nancy Heuer; grandson Gary Heuer, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Soule, Avis Maynard; brothers, Robert Bronson, and Joseph Bronson.
Ruth was a WWII Army veteran. She was a member of the American Legion and was the first female commander of the Avon VFW post.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Private interment St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon with military honors. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Joseph Gallipeau American Legion Post # 294, PO Box 132 Avon, NY 14414.
