West Henrietta, NY - Passed peacefully to her heavenly home March 16, 2020 at age 71. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James P. Gleeson; daughters, MaryAnn Gleeson Butler of Scottsville, NY, Lisa (John) Hurff of Somers Point, NJ; grandchildren, Adam Butler, Ryan Butler, Shauna Butler, Anthony (Jessica) Hurff, Nicholas Hurff; great granddaughter Madison Chinnici; brothers; Joseph (Donna) DiMeglio, Michael (Amanda) DiMeglio; brother-in-law, sister-in-law’s and many nieces and nephews.
Louise was a school bus driver for the Rush-Henrietta School District for the past 14 years. Past work experiences included selling Tupperware, managing Gleeson’s Variety Store in Ocean City, NJ, and waitressing at the Tuckahoe Inn in Beesley’s Pt, NJ. She loved garage sales, crafting, hospitality, and helping others. Her biggest impact was in her ministry, alongside with her husband, to the International students at the local college campuses. A majority of her time was spent overseeing a women’s international house where she befriended many international women from around the world. Many times, becoming a mother figure for them.
Due to the current national health crisis, services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. A Memorial Service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Uganda Water Project, c/o Elim Gospel Church, 1679 Dalton Road, Lima, NY 14485.
