Tetamore, Jack A.
Geneseo: February 3, 2017 at age 88. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan; children, Laurence (Marcea) Tetamore and Jacqueline VanSlyke; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Anne Rehbach; nieces and nephews. Jack retired from his Graphic Arts and Printing Business after 60 years and resided in Geneseo, New York with his wife and ‘Past First Lady’ Joan.
Jack was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Jack joined the Kiwanis Club Rochester in 1959, sponsored by George F. Hixson, first president of Kiwanis International. Jack served as President of the Kiwanis Club of Rochester in 1966, Lieutenant Governor of the Genesee Division in 1968 and New York District Circle K Chair 1968-1971. He was the Governor of the New York District Kiwanis International in 1972-1973. Jack served on many District committees including the District Finance Committee and was president of the District Foundation from 1974 through 1978 leading the fundraising and building of the first swimming pool. Jack has served on several Kiwanis International Committees including Chair of the Membership Growth Worldwide East Committee and Chief Sergeant at Arms for fourteen International Conventions.
Jack was the Past President of Rochester Art Director’s Club. He was the Past President of the Rochester Club of Printing House Craftsmen and he was a member of the Society of Mayflower Decedents.
Friends may call Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1-3 PM at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Private Service and Interment. Memorials may be made to your local Kiwanis Club.
